"WATON unveils 'HookDrive' at Gyeongsang National University Automotive Parts Forum... Industry expectations rise"

On the afternoon of August 22, WATON. participated in the "Gyeongnam Automobile Parts Industry Promotion and Future Talent Training Forum" held at the Grand Mercure Ambassador Changwon. The forum was organized to introduce regional strategic industries through the RISE project and to devise measures for cultivating future talent in response to the decline in the school-age and youth population in Gyeongnam.

Various consortium organizations and partner companies, including NSK Korea, Sale Industrial Co., and SNT Dynamics Co., Ltd., participated in the forum. WATON., which has consistently advanced technology while nurturing young talent, drew significant attention and raised expectations with its presentation, as it was highly aligned with the forum’s theme.

In particular, the newly released HookDrive™ series attracted considerable attention through its proprietary hook mechanism. When asked during the presentation, “How can the backlash be reduced to zero?”, CEO Ha Won-ho explained the principle of the mechanism, confidently described the background behind achieving zero backlash, and concluded the presentation successfully.

In addition, unlike conventional index drive motors, it features a compact and lightweight design, yet is capable of high-speed indexing and precise operation, delivering excellent performance with a repeatability of ±0.01mm or better. This has raised expectations for its broad application across the automotive parts industry.
